Ava Witthauer

My name is Ava Witthauer, I’m a Junior studying Marketing and Psychology with an intended minor in Spanish. This year I am serving as the College of Business and Public Administration Student Senator. Within this role I hope to be a bridge between CBPA students and the Associate Deans, Dean, administrative staff, and professors within the college. While the CPBA is known for its efficiency and dedication to students, I believe that we can do more by focusing on individual relationships and connections.

Here at Drake I am also a member of Alpha Phi sorority, which has been a substantial part of my college experience including, academic success, philanthropy work, and most importantly, my love for the Drake community. Drake University is home to over 170 organizations and I am lucky to say that I have been apart of many. My love for Drake and reasoning for striving to be on senate stems from my involvement in the Peer Mentor and Academic Counselor (PMAC) program, being an Orientation Leader, and working in the Student Life Center.

My fondness for Drake grows with each year I get to experience the many benefits it offers. I believe that many of these benefits come from the dedication of Student Senate and the power of the individuals around the table. I am honored to serve as a Senator and I hope to continue the growth of Drake University, the College of Business and Public Administration, and the Drake Community to even higher levels of success.
