Equity and Inclusion Senator
My name is Kenia Alejandra Calderon Ceron but no need to memorize the whole thing, Kenia will do. This fall, I will be a senior majoring in Management. Born and raised in Santa Ana, El Salvador and Des Moines is my second home.
During my time at Drake, I have co-founded two student organizations, La Fuerza Latina and Drake University Women in Business. With the help of my peers we continue to built a relationship with the Des Moines community by visiting schools, thus empowering women and minorities through volunteer work and more.
This will be my first year on senate and I am beyond excited to service as the Equity and Inclusion Senator-at-Large. I will work tirelessly to guide and empower UNITY Roundtable in its first year as a governing body. My ultimate goal is to make our campus a inclusive place for all. To be the voice the minority and marginalize population and advocate for change in policies that currently exclude students of color.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to grab coffee to find ways we can collaborate: email@example.com.
Together, we can make this year the year of equity and inclusion!
